Overview
Our client is in search of a dedicated and experienced Domestic Couple to manage their stunning Castle, situated on the picturesque northwest shore of Loch Fyne, Scotland. From April to October, the Castle and its magnificent gardens welcome thousands of visitors, making it a vibrant and dynamic environment during the summer months. The successful couple will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Castle, ensuring all daily, weekly, and monthly tasks are completed to the highest standard. This role also includes the occasional management of nearby holiday cottages, ensuring seamless service as needed. Job duties
Responsibilities of the Domestic Couple in Scotland include: Housekeeper: Maintaining the private apartments in pristine condition at all times Dusting and vacuuming of all private rooms Making and changing of beds, tidying bedrooms and turn down of guest bedrooms, when necessary Cleaning kitchen and filling and emptying of dishwashers, both downstairs kitchen and nursery kitchen All laundry pertaining to family and private side Cleaning of silver & brasses Care of antiques, artwork, and fine furnishings Flower arranging Helping at Family and Estate events Servicing and housekeeping of a selection of holiday cottages located on the Estate Occasional childcare Occasional pet care Handyman/Caretaker: Some internal and external light maintenance, repairs and painting Public and private security protocol and systems Attending to open fires, heating system and alarms Taking appropriate action in the Castle in the event of an emergency, fire/security officer Some driving and light maintenance of Castle vehicles Car cleaning Castle janitor duties which include cleaning of toilet facilities for the Castle visitors Refuse litter disposal associated with the Castle and private side Attending to the Castle car park when the Castle is operational Assist with deliveries Changing of flag Helping at Castle functions and occasional butler duties Routine inspections of both Castle and Castle grounds The ability and willingness to adapt and embrace an evolving set of tasks is paramount Winter/Spring Cleaning Occasional dog sitting and walking Working with the general public and high net worth guests Maintenance and upkeep of a selection of holiday cottages Candidates must be/have:
Experience in a similar setting as a Domestic Couple A good level of fitness Valid driving licences (a car will be provided for work use) Good health & safety knowledge, including an ability to work safely at height A high level of discretion and confidentiality Accommodation
A modern, part-furnished two-bedroom flat in the Castle. Council tax, electricity, heating and telephone rental will be paid by the employers. No dependants. Hours

around 45 hours per week. Location
Northwest shore of Loch Fyne, Scotland. Salary and benefits
£60,000 (combined). 22 days of holiday (half must be taken when Castle is closed to the public), plus 10.5 statutory holidays, including Christmas Day and/or New Years Day. Job ref
