Solicitor (Part time)
Initially this role will be 10-14 hours a week
Certain Advantage is seeking a highly skilled and experienced UK solicitor based in London.
This position is a one-year, part-time contract and is based in the office.

This part-time role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a global cause, with responsibilities ranging from providing top-tier commercial legal advice to managing contracts and ensuring compliance with charity laws.
This role is for a dynamic Solicitor - someone ambitious and ready to make an impact. You’ll be results-orientated and driven to succeed.
- Deliver expert commercial legal advice to support the social investment programs.
- Lead and enhance our contracting function, ensuring robust agreements that protect the organisations interests.
- Guide teams to ensure compliance with Charity Commission requirements.
- Oversee the controlled and compliant exit from contracts and funding arrangements.
- Support our Ethics & Compliance function to uphold the highest standards.
- Coordinate with external legal advisors across five jurisdictions, managing their selection and performance.
The individual:
- A qualified UK solicitor with substantial post-qualification experience.
- Broad legal expertise in financial investments, contracts, and ideally, data protection, ethics, and compliance.
- Experience in drafting and managing financial investment agreements, particularly in debt and funds.
- Knowledge of charity law is advantageous, but a willingness to learn is essential.
