Job Title: AV Engineer Location: Newcastle Salary: £25,500 per annum Benefits: * Company pension * Commission scheme * Company van (including private use) * 28 days holiday Overview: Heels & Brogues Recruitment is working with a well-known client based in the North East seeking an experienced AV Engineer. The role involves installing, commissioning, and supporting various audio-visual systems, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control solutions, at various on-site locations. Key Responsibilities for AV Engineer: * Install, configure, and commission AV equipment, including projectors, displays, sound systems, and control systems. * Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine optimal AV solutions. * Provide excellent customer service and technical support to clients. * Collaborate with other departments and contractors on-site for seamless AV integration. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system performance. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Required: * Experience in AV installation, including sound systems, video displays, and control systems or similar field. * Proficiency in cabling (cat5/5e/6/6 A and fibre optic). * Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with AV testing equipment. * Understanding of health and safety practices, especially when working at heights. * Full UK driving licence. * Self-motivated, with good time management and communication skills. Desirable for AV Engineer: * Experience with AV control systems (e.g., Crestron, AMX). * CSCS/ECS card and basic networking knowledge. * IPAF/PASMA certification for safe working at height. * SC or DV clearance is advantageous
