The Company

The business is a dynamic and ambitious startup IDNO which specialises in adopting and owning electricity connections for a diverse range of new build infrastructure assets. Further expansion from private equity investment for their market leading energy distribution solutions has seen accelerated growth and the requirement to recruit a high-profile Electrical Project Coordinator.


The Role

  • As an Electrical Project Coordinator you will work in the Grid Consultancy and Delivery team, assisting with project planning and coordination. Helping to acquire Point of Connection applications to managing milestones, permits, notices, and orders. You will support in the daily operations and work closely with our Project Managers to deliver projects to specification, on budget, and with outstanding client relationships.
  • This role will work closely with several teams in, Engineering, Commercial, Development and O&M, as well as external Developers, ICPs, EPCs and DNOs. You will help co-ordinate activity of internal and external teams alongside the Grid Manager to ensure timely grid connection, energisation and commissioning of projects to full export capacity and hand over to operations teams.
  • Wider duties and responsibilities include:
  • Close liaison with the Delivery team who secure grid connections at the development phase of projects
  • Undertake, submit and manage grid applications
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Assist in the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets. Coordinate resources and personnel to ensure project milestones are met
  • Client Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle. Provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Team Coordination: Work closely with installation teams to ensure they have the necessary information, materials, and support to complete their work efficiently
  • Logistics Management: Oversee the procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and other resources needed for each project
  • Quality Control: Monitor project progress and perform quality checks to ensure installations meet company standards and client expectations


The Person

  • The successful candidate will likely have:
  • Existing grid connection experience for projects is desirable. Experience of development and execution of large-scale infrastructure projects is also desirable
  • Experience of project development, design and operational engineering activity
  • Qualified in electrical engineering (or similar), or experience in the electricity field
  • TA/OE, IPP, EPC, DNO ICP background
  • Technically astute, with a good understanding of the grid connection process from beginning to end
  • Full UK Driving licence
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
