Contract Mechanical Design Engineer Overview * Rate: DOE * Length: Initial 3 months * Location: Fully remote (Initial onboarding week onsite in South Wales) * IR35 Status: Small company exemption My client is an innovative energy and EV company looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in rotating machinery to support finalising current iterations and next iterations of designs for an electric motor. Requirements: * 3D CAD experience - (Ideally Solidworks) * Mechanical analysis - FEA * Experience with high speed rotating assemblies, rotating machinery or parts is fundamental * Any further experience with the following is welcomed: * Electric motor design * Machining * Cooling fluid * Sealing The client falls under the small company exception for IR35 purposes and so determination is at the contractors discretion.
