Our client is a leading provider of 4G, 5G (LTE) and wireless connectivity solutions for public and private networks. Based in Berkshire, they are expanding their team and seek and experienced Senior FPGA Design Engineer to work on a number of exciting projects.

The Senior FPGA Design Engineer, Berkshire, will be responsible for the design and development of FPGA for a 5G Base Station product line. The role involves developing board control logic, high speed interconnect and data path in a multi-processor/multi-device topology. The role will include verification at block level, end to end simulation and integration, test and debug on the hardware platform.

Other responsibilities include:

- Design and maintenance of FPGA functions for a 5G radio product line.

- Full design verification and testing.

- Preparation of design specifications and documentation including definition of software device drivers and interfaces to other systems / processors.

The successful Senior FPGA Development Engineer, Berkshire, will have a blend of the following:

- - Knowledge of wireless, LTD 4G or 5G standards - signal processing

- A deep understanding of FPGA fabric and clocking resources

- Proficiency in hardware programming languages (Verilog and/or VHDL)

- Experience with RTL-level design, simulation and verification

- Experience with design and implementation using Avalon and/or AXI4 interfaces
