English Teacher Chislehurst, Bromley M1 - UPS1 Prospero Teaching is looking for an English Teacher for an Ofsted "Outstanding" Secondary school in Chislehurst, Bromley. The school is a large size mainstream Secondary School with a supportive English department. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. The school does not have a 6th form, most of the timetable for this role will be key stage 3 and key stage 4. The position is open to both ECT's and experienced teachers and are happy to match your teaching pay scale (M1 - UPS1). Depending on performance, the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position. Furthermore, this school has great public transportation links and has parking available on site. CONTRACT DETAILS Location - Chislehurst, Bromley Position - English Teacher Type of work - KS3/KS4 English Class Teacher Contract or position start date - 7th January 2025 Duration / Likely Duration - 2 terms until end of the academic year July 2025 (possible to extend to a permanent contract) Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - contracted to permanent* Full time/part time - Full time Minimum rate of pay - match to pay scale Hours - 8:15am - 4:00pm, plus parents evenings EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS QTS or equivalent Minimum 1 year English teaching experience in the UK Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST: Hold Right to Work in the UK Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years OTHER If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV.
