CLASS 1 DRIVER - NIGHTS THURSDAY - MONDAY: START TIMES £17.00 - £20.35 PER HOUR People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in the Newton Heath area. Benefits • Excellent Hourly Rates • Ongoing Work • Weekly Pay • Onsite Canteen • Training Provided • Immediate Starts • Employee Well-being Programme Rates of Pay: • Basic: £17.00 per hour • Friday : £17.55 per hour • Saturday : £20.35 per hour Day to Day Duties Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to: • RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side) • Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections • Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly • Adhere to traffic laws and regulations • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers • Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management • Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed Essential Skills As a Class 1 Driver you will need to: • Hold a valid UK CE Licence • Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles • No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes • Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card • Must be able to speak and read a good level of English • Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills • Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations • Effective communication skills Desirable Experience • Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial • Previous experience in multi drop experience will be beneficial Training • Driving Assessment • After successful Driving Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction Apply Apply today by clicking below.
