Reporting to: Financial Controller (FC)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Management Accountant on behalf of our client, to join a well-established finance team based near Downham Market. This role will support the Finance Controller in delivering clear and accurate financial reporting, ensuring strong financial controls, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Key Responsibilities:

Management Reporting:

    • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets, for review by the FC.
    • Support financial reporting for the company with assistance from the Assistant Accountant.
    • Complete reconciliations and post journals in line with deadlines.

Financial Control:

    • Ensure all financial processes and transactions are accurately recorded and comply with the company s internal control procedures.
    • Maintain proper filing and documentation for all financial records.

Year-End Processes and Compliance:

    • Assist with the preparation of year-end financial documentation and support the FC in working with auditors.
    • Ensure the company s financial activities adhere to relevant laws and regulations.

Collaboration and Business Support:

    • Work alongside the FC to provide financial insights and management accounts to other departments as needed.
    • Help ensure all relevant teams have access to clear and useful financial information.

Payroll and Pension Administration:

    • Collaborate with the Assistant Accountant to manage payroll processing, ensuring timely submission of PAYE and NI information to HMRC.
    • Maintain up-to-date pension records and submit monthly data to the pension provider.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Solid experience in management accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of financial controls, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting, including P&L and balance sheet preparation.
  • Familiarity with payroll and pension processes.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and meet deadlines effectively.
