About the role: Year 3 Teacher: Are you an experienced teacher looking for a rewarding part-time role? A welcoming and diverse primary school in Edgware is seeking a passionate Year 3 Teacher to join their team for two days a week (Thursday and Friday). With a supportive SLT and a class that has high levels of EAL (English as an Additional Language), this is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact. In this role, you'll be teaching a Year 3 class working slightly below the expected standard, but with the support of a hands-on and highly involved Senior Leadership Team (SLT). Planning is already in place and does not include core subjects, allowing you to focus on delivering engaging, tailored lessons. You'll work closely with the Phase Leader, ensuring that you’re part of a collaborative and supportive team that values your input. The role is for two terms, providing both stability and a clear timeframe. About the school: The school is an inclusive, community-driven institution that recently completed a successful Ofsted inspection, solidifying its reputation as a nurturing environment for both students and staff. Located in a vibrant area of Edgware, the school serves a culturally diverse student body, with high levels of EAL (English as an Additional Language) learners but no major behavioural challenges. The leadership team is deeply engaged in the day-to-day functioning of the school, ensuring that both students and staff feel fully supported and empowered in their roles. Application Requirements: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experience teaching Key Stage 1, ideally in diverse classrooms with EAL learners A creative, adaptable approach to teaching, with a passion for inspiring young learners • Proven experience in differentiating lessons to meet the needs of students with varied levels of English proficiency (EAL). • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with the Phase Leader and other staff members. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver engaging lessons in line with pre-planned curriculum materials. • Adapt teaching strategies to support the diverse needs of EAL students. • Collaborate with the Phase Leader and SLT to ensure consistent classroom standards. • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to support their development.
