As a Senior RME Technician,youll help us stay one step ahead, adopting the latest technologies andidentifying new and efficient ways of working. In this role, you’ll pay closeattention to our processes to help maintain our high standards, and you’ll putin place upgrades to take that standard even higher. PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipmentperforming at its best. Were a technically minded team, made up of excellentteam players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain,troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network of fulfilmentcentres. Some of our people are leaders, who oversee the team as they work onexciting technology – some of which only exists at Amazon. From installing automated packaging systems to overseeing the generalmaintenance of a site to repairing key distribution equipment, our teamhandles most aspects of Amazon’s technical side. This includes keepingbuildings legally compliant, so everyone is safe, and our sites are operatingat maximum efficiency. There are lots of opportunities for progression, bothwithin the RME team and more widely across Amazon. Everything we do focuses on reducing downtime in Amazon’s crucial operationssites, so customers get their orders on time. We often work during early orlate hours to carry out maintenance with minimal disruption, including nightshifts. If we spot a better way to do something, we have the skills and theopportunity to develop and introduce completely new processes or cutting-edgetech like Amazon Robotics and our Complex Item Sorter. Shift Pattern: This role includes working in non-traditional shift pattern,which may include nights and weekends Key job responsibilities Demonstrate best practice on using equipment safely and monitor teams toensure everyone follows the correct processes Keep track of equipment performance through visual checks, condition-basedmonitoring, and preventative maintenance tasks and schedule additionalservicing when required Supervise technicians on shift to support their development and act as thefirst point of contact for Reliability Maintenance Engineers Solve issues in equipment to reduce downtime for operations so they canprocess packages as quickly as possible Support in finding ways to continually improve systems and standardiseprocesses across the EU network ### BASIC QUALIFICATIONSApprentice trained with HNC, HND, NVQ level 3 Relevant experience in a technical leadership role Relevant experience working in both electrical and mechanical disciplines Relevant experience in automation or material handling equipment environments Advanced proficiency in verbal and written local language and basicproficiency in English ### PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon.If you have all the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hear from you.
