Job summary: Manage the day to day running and organisation. Provide play care within the framework of the club s policies and procedures
Working relationships: Children attending the club and their parents or carers. Club management, club staff and volunteers. Schools, childcare and play-related organisations, registering Authorities (OFSTED), and funding bodies.

Leadership & Management
Extensive experience overseeing nursery operations, ensuring high standards in care, education, and compliance. - Skilled in staff leadership, providing guidance and training to foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Compliance & Regulation
Expertise in maintaining OFSTED compliance, achieving positive inspection outcomes. In-depth knowledge of safeguarding policies, health and safety standards, and relevant early years regulations.
Educational Development
Have proven ability to develop engaging, play-based learning programs that promote holistic child development. - Led and implemented creative curriculum initiatives that improved children's learning and staff engagement.
Parent & Community Engagement -
Strong relationship-building skills with parents and local communities, fostering transparent and inclusive management practices.
Administrative & Financial Management -
Experienced in managing budgets, staffing, and administrative processes to ensure smooth nursery and business
Essential qualities:
- Experience of working with 4- to 11-year-olds
- Minimum Level 3 qualification
- Appropriate Child protection training
- Current Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
- Food Hygiene Certicate
- Experience of administration and budgeting
- Understanding the varied needs of children and their families
- Understanding the issues involved in the delivery of quality play care
- Understanding the issues of equal opportunities
- Provide and facilitate safe and creative play
- Good communication skills
Main duties include:
- Managing daily operations of different settings.
- Lead operation management of different wrap around settings, maintaining high levels of compliance with OFSTED regulations.
- Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Ensuring provision of comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers.
- Implementing Staff development programs and Providing support and supervision to Team leaders, play workers and volunteers.
- Building a strong partnership with parent and local communities, ensuring open communication and collaborative approaches to meet diverse needs of children and families.
- Managing financial and administrative operations and working closely with senior leadership to optimize resources, staffing and service quality while ensuring operational efficiency.
- Act as key liaison between partner Schools, regulatory bodies, and the organisation, ensuring all documentation and reporting requirements are met.
