Coordinating with various transport companies, importers and clearance agents. This role ensures that all logistical activities are carried out efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company procedures. Ensuring all goods are imported and exported in accordance with HMRC regulations, ensuring an audit trail is in place for HMRC audits. The Shipping and Customs Compliance Executive is crucial for optimizing the logistics processes, reducing costs, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support maintenance and operational needs.Key Responsibilities:Plan and oversee the transportation of goods, including international and domestic shipments. Coordinate with procurement, maintenance and operations to ensure timely delivery of required items. Ensuring all goods are imported and exported correctly in accordance with HMRC regulations.Checking import and export declarations and control of records. Preparation and leading of HMRC Audits.Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the efficient movement of materials and parts.Participating in regular customs compliance training to ensure the company is compliant at all times.Develop and maintain strong relationships with couriers. Communicate effectively with customers regarding logistics activities and timelines. About You Excellent Communicator: Fluent in oral and written English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.Organised and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple. tasks and prioritising workload.Calm Nature: Ability to work under pressure.Problem Solver: Proactive in identifying issues and finding effective solutions.Qualifications: Grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent. Eligibility to work in the UK.Logistics Experience – minimum of 1 years working within a logistics/shipping environment.Hands on – Happy to jump in when needed.
