Peace Recruitment is delighted to represent our national consultancy client in their search for a Project Quantity Surveyor in Glasgow. Due to a number of recent project wins, our client is looking for PQS candidates with circa 5 years experience in both public and private sectors, to support a diverse range of projects; BTR, PBSA, Industrial, Hospitality, etc.  Our client can offer a route to chartership through their in house APC programme, which has a fantastic pass rate, along with a development/career path designed for each person. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the financial and contractual side of construction projects from feasibility through to final account. You will work closely with their clients, contractors, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery, maintaining a balance between quality, cost, and time. Key Responsibilities: Manage the financial performance of construction projects from inception to completion Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and reports Perform risk, value management, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle Liaise with clients and provide commercial advice Conduct feasibility studies, cost planning, and procurement strategies Prepare tender and contract documentation, including bills of quantities Assess variations, claims, and additional costs Manage subcontractor payments, valuations, and final accounts Support senior management with project cost analysis and reporting Ensure projects comply with contractual obligations and financial guidelines Requirements: Degree in Quantity Surveying Membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) or working towards chartership 5+ years of experience in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy Strong knowledge of construction contracts and procurement methods Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously Proficient in using industry-standard software, such as CostX, or similar Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Experience in NEC and/or JCT contract is essential In return: Salary between £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience and MRICS status Excellent holiday entitlement Hybrid working Professional fees paid Discounted gym memberships For more information call Lewis Potter or apply with your CV.
