COMPANY A D&B Fit Out contractor who have been established for almost 15 years and are now industry leaders in the UK in this space are looking to add a polished, forward thinking and competent Preconstruction Manager to oversee multiple larger Cat B projects in and around Central London. They have excellent collaborative workspace in Central London which is ideally located with excellent transport links throughout London. They are going from strength to strength and have an enviable reputation for developing people, creating outstanding careers for the right candidates. THE ROLE They are looking for a Preconstruction Manager who is a competent Estimator, polished and an excellent communicator with strong negotiation skills and the adaptability to work with stakeholders of various levels. You will be personable, dynamic with excellent relationship building skills, key responsibilities will include:- * Estimating. * Pre-Contract bid co-ordination. * Involvement in prospective Client pitch presentations. * Accurate hand-over of construction documentation to Project Manager. CANDIDATE The ideal candidate will come from a Preconstruction background and will have the ability to work on multiple projects at any one time in an organised manner with varying internal project teams. Yo will have exposure and ability to undertake the following:- * Assessing and interpreting client brief for works cost planning * Produce RFI and manage throughout pre con phase * Co-ordination of design, sales, and sub-contract team to ensure design and costs are aligned * Produce cost breakdown using Excel spreadsheet. * Formatting and managing pre-contract programme on Microsoft project relating to pitch / bid and agreeing works duration with contracts team * Presenting pre-contract cost documents to prospective clients - the ability to communicate this to the client and the clients professional team with confidence * To assess contractors' tender submissions to determine the best fit for each project * Understand MEP drawings and terminology to the extent that they can be discussed high level with the client team * Attend initial client and contractor meetings following handover to project team * Host site visit with pre con team to discuss project in detail once complete Eden Brown is committed to equality in the workplace and is an equal opportunity employer
