Lead Security Engineer - London - £120,000-£140,000+ 20% Bonus, Extensive Benefits Package & Remote Flex
Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Security Engineer with a strong development background to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Core and Platform teams to integrate security into all aspects of our development process. Your expertise in securing code, cloud environments, systems, and services will be key in ensuring our platform remains secure and user-friendly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement engineering and automation practices to embed security within our development workflows.
- Develop software and tools to enhance security across our platform.
- Promote a secure-by-default mindset in all interactions and processes.
- Strengthen our technology stack and make security practices visible to users.
- Share knowledge, mentor team members, and foster a self-reliant security culture.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of systems, cloud, and software security.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in systems and software engineering.
- Proficiency with Linux and orchestration runtimes.
- Experience with Agile development, DevOps, and Continuous Delivery.
- Proficient in Python and Go, with a willingness to adapt to new tools as needed.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Solid software engineering skills with a focus on security.
- Experience in securing software development processes.
- Familiarity with cloud penetration testing.
- Pragmatic and humble approach to problem-solving.
