Engineering Machinist Leicester Permanent Role Up to £15 per hour DOE Double Day shifts (mornings and afters on rotation) Summary A new opportunity for an Engineering Machinist to join a very successful aerospace company based in Thurmaston in their air frame department. This role working hours are on a double day shift and are as follows. Week 1: Monday to Thursday: 5:30 am. to 14:00 pm. Friday: 5:30 am to 13:30 pm Week 2: Monday to Thursday: 14:00pm to 10:30pm The Employer This company specialise in manufacturing nuts, bolts, and fasteners predominately for the aerospace industry. They are looking for Manual Machinist or individuals with a manufacturing or production mindset to join their expanding team due to their business rapidly growing. The Job To operate and set engineering machinery such as thread rollers, broaching, turning machines. Help maintain and promote a safe working environment. Using measuring equipment i.e. verniers, calipers etc Reading and working from engineering drawings Working to small tolerances Working closely with the tool room The Ideal Candidate Experience in a manufacturing, mechanical or production environment. Car mechanic background could be considered Working well as part of a team. Machining experience essential Proactive approach to work Working under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
