Marketing Director

The Opportunity:

Nigel Wright is delighted to have been retained by a growing PE backed business in the Pharma / Life Sciences sector, to lead the search for a strategic level marketing director, to help the organisation take advantage of the tremendous market opportunity that is open to it. The organisation is currently at the investment for growth stage of the investment cycle and now is a fantastic time to join the business. The role can be based remotely, anywhere in the UK, with occasional time spent in the UK offices.

Role Profile:

• To work closely with the executive team, to inform the marketing strategy, as part of the overall company business plan.
• Mixing time between strategic and tactical tasks. This will be a hands on role as well as a leadership position.
• Line managing one marketing hire, with organisation wide matrix management responsibility as part of the senior team.
• Driving B2B lead generation.
• Ensuring that all content and messaging is executed with the appropriate tone of voice for its scientific and commercial audience.
• Liaising effectively, internally, with both scientific and non-scientific colleagues.
• Developing the organisations digital proposition and activity with an ROI focussed approach to marketing spend.

Person Specification:

• Ideally marketing leadership experience in the pharma / life sciences sector.
• Preferably a scientific academic background and early career, prior to moving into marketing.
• Strong leadership and strategic marketing skills.
• A track record of supporting organisations to drive profitable growth.
• Happy to operate in a fast paced, high pressure, high growth PE backed environment.
• Comfortable operating remotely, with the flexibility to travel to the Company' UK sites as required.
