You will work withinour safety critical FPGA development team acrossall phases of the design lifecycle from requirements elicitationthrough to equipment testing. The teamuses agile SCRUM methods to develop high integrity FPGA basedapplications adopting the latest state-of-the-arttoolsets. The applications you will be involved in areleading-edge solutions addressing the challenges of meeting thehighest safety integrity requirements.

Within theteam there are opportunities to develop your career in technicalmanagement, team leadership or as a technicalspecialist.

The team offers the opportunity tobecome an expert in the use of state-of-the-arttoolsets.

Training will beprovided where required to equip you with the skills necessary todevelop requirements, architectures, designs, HDL code, associatedtests and supporting infrastructure for applicationsessential for the protection and monitoring of a nuclear propulsionplant.

Whatyou'll be doing :

You willfollow a safety critical development lifecycleto:

  • Develop requirements, fromequipment to implementation level, for FPGA baseddesigns
  • Develop and Verify VHDLcode
  • Support hardware-based testing of yourdesigns
  • Author and review designdocumentation
  • You will liaise with Software,Hardware, Systems and Verification teams to ensure customerexpectations are met effectively andefficiently
  • You will contribute to thecontinuing improvement of the development processes and productquality

  • Be qualified to Degreelevel (or equivalent experience) in Electronics Engineering,Computer Science, or related discipline
  • Beexperienced in designing and verifying designs expressed usingVHDL
  • Have the ability to provide clear, conciseand accurate technicalreports

Experienceof the following, whilst not essential, would bebeneficial:
