Senior Quantity Surveyor

A great new opportunity to join a national Civil Engineering contractor as they deliver works on behalf of National Grid. Our client is a key partner in the UK’s transition to greener energy and becoming carbon net zero. We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor, or an experienced QS looking to take the next step in their career. You will have experience of working on NEC contracts in the Civils sector, ideally on utility projects. Hybrid working is offered. As Senior Quantity Surveyor you will: * Have experience of applications and CVR’s. * Prepare forecasts/reports; cost, profit/loss, value etc. * Manage high-value subcontract packages * Be responsible for minimising cost and maximising value, ensuring controls are in place to manage and monitor the operating cost base. * Manage/support QS’s. Our client requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor with: * Degree qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar. * Experience of working for a tier one Civil Engineering contractor. * Excellent communication skills. * Experience of commercially delivering multi-million-pound schemes. * A good knowledge of NEC suite of contracts. Salary and benefits include: * £60,000 - £70,000 per annum. * Company car or £6,000 car allowance. * Bonus up to 15%, company performance dependent. * Hybrid working. * 25 days annual (plus Bank Holidays). * Benefits package including Private Medical Insurance, Pension Scheme.
