EMC Project Engineer - Bristol or Stevenage Salary: Circa £42,000 (DOE) + Relocation Package (if applicable) Are you ready to dive into a role that combines cutting-edge technology with strategic problem-solving? Why This Role is for You: Be at the Heart of Innovation: You'll work within a specialized team of experts who are responsible for delivering EMC risk reduction and qualification strategies across product lifecycles, ensuring that our systems meet the highest standards of EMC. Hands-On & Strategic: Your role will balance both hands-on work with cutting-edge technology in our state-of-the-art EMC Facility and strategic oversight, where you'll develop crucial documentation, including Environmental Requirement Specifications (ERS), EMC Control Plans, and more. You'll grow your expertise in a niche, in-demand field and have opportunities to take on increasing levels of responsibility.Your Key Responsibilities: Support various programmes through all phases, from concept to disposal, ensuring robust EMC designs and accurate risk reduction strategies. Develop and maintain crucial project documentation, including EMC Control Plans, Proving Plans, and Instructions to support product development and qualification. Collaborate closely with the hardware design teams, potentially providing hands-on support for hardware reviews and informal testing. Play a vital role in reviewing, analyzing, and ensuring compliance with EMC requirements across a variety of cutting-edge defence projects.What You'll Bring to the Team: A background in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Physics, EMC, or a related field, either through higher education or equivalent work experience. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the business. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to meet defined deadlines and work within budget limits. Desirable: Experience with military EMC standards such as Defence Standard 59-41 / 59-411, Mil-Std-461, or RTCA DO160 / EUROCAE ED-14 would be advantageous, though not essential.Why Join Us?
