Mobile Fitter

Experienced Mobile Fitter Needed *** Our client is based in the Ampthill, Bedfordshire area and looking for an experienced Mobile Fitter to join their team. They are looking for someone with an electrical / generator minded / plant experience person. A lot of the job would be fixing our units out on site and servicing the engines. You will be required to travel up to 150 miles, some days you will be at one site other All training will be provided and we would buddy up with someone for a week or two and make sure that person is comfortable with the job. You must have a Mechanical or Plant Hire background and experience. Shifts: Monday - Friday Working Hours: 7am - 16.30pm 45 hours (with 30 mins unpaid break). Salary: £35,626.50 basic salary + overtime paid at time and a half (overtime guaranteed) so no cap on earnings Job Description: * You will be repairing and maintaining accommodation, both economically and efficiently at depots and on site, ensuring that customer breakdowns are dealt with in a timely manner to limit downtime, and units are serviced in time to ensure hire commitments are met. * Ensuring all repair work as a result of customer damage is recorded and paperwork is raised in a timely manner to ensure customer is charged appropriately. * Providing own hand tools and ensuring tools are used correctly, adequately maintained, tested before use, and securely stored. * Obtaining / requesting from depot stores all parts necessary to carry out repairs and managing Van stock * Competent in welding tasks on accommodation units. (Accredited training can be given) * Carrying out cosmetic repairs to accommodation units including panel replacement and touch up painting. * Joinery and plumbing skills * Generator repairs and maintenance * Adhere to Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality processes to ensure we are compliant at all time Requirements for the role: * Experience in a fitter role * Hydraulics experience * Electrics experience * NVQ / CIBT Qualification * Full clean Driving License If your interested please click apply below and a member of our recruitment team will give you a call back to arrange interview
