Somerset White is looking for a Finance Assistant.We are looking for candidates with some experience in office administration, accountancy, data entry, bookkeeping or similar.Candidates must have experience with: Xero, Excel and online banking systems.Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm. One day WFH post training.Day to day duties will include:managing petty cashreconciling accountscredit control / chasing up payments etcquery resolutiongeneral filinggenerating statements and raising invoicesheavy data entrysome office management – ordering supplies, helping with office systems and helping to ensure smooth running of officeSome wider client team support and occasional paid weekend workSkills and Experience- At least 2 years prior experience in a similar role- Strong numeracy and experience in this area- An extremely proactive and positive manner- A keen eye for detail and strong work ethic- Ability to work to tight deadlines/under pressure- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal- ‘No job is too big or too small’ attitudeJob Type: Full-timeSalary: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year DOEJob Types: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:Bonus schemePerformance bonusBenefits:Company pensionSchedule:Monday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:London: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:Xero: 1 year (required)Work authorisation:United Kingdom (required)Work Location: In person
