Mechanical Design Engineer – Fully remote from anywhere in the UK - To £45K A rare and unique opportunity for a Mechanical (HVAC / Building Services) Design Engineer to join an established consultancy. If you’ve been looking for a fully remote, Mechanical Design Engineer role with a progressive employer, then you’ve found it! The only “catch” is that you need to live in the UK and be willing to travel to site / projects one a month or so. The Opportunity Reporting to; and fully supported by the Founding Director, you’ll develop not just your technical skills but also your commercial awareness. You’ll be mentored on how to prepare fee bids, manage a team, manage and allocate resources and maintain key relationships. You’ll enjoy a largely autonomous role and take a lead role in designing and overseeing the installation of HVAC services on a variety of complex projects, across the UK. The Company Established five years ago, they have successfully operated a fully remote working model; and hence there are no minimum number of days required in the office. As a bit of a technical wizard when it comes to HVAC Design, you’ll enjoy working in partnership with architects, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers and continue to push innovation within the built environment. Salary and Perks In addition to a salary of up to £45K (please note this is a fully remote role) you’ll receive 25 days paid leave, annual bonus, flexible working hours, payment of all business-related expenses (hotels, trains, parking, mileage, meals, flights etc if required) and a company funded, annual trip away. Requirements Permanent resident of the UK. Willing to attend site or client meetings in the UK, typically once a month. At least four years’ experience in the building services industry. Specific experience designing HVAC and PH services. Able to lead the technical elements of projects. Able to manage your own time effectively to meet deadlines.
