Opportunity Overview


This is an incredibly rare opportunity to join a global executive search firm as part of their London-based team, we are looking for 3 recent graduates with exceptional academics and an interest in the finance sector, or an experienced recruitment consultant who is looking to move into high end, lucrative executive search. This is a fantastic opportunity for a bright, and entrepreneurial gradate to get fast exposure to the finance sector, whilst developing essential career skills such a; researching, pitching, cold calling, negotiating, running clients meetings and strategic sales.


Year 1 OTE: £60,000

Year 2 OTE: £80,000

Year 3 OTE: £100,000 +

By taking on only a handful of junior associates, the firm can maintain focus on high-calibre individuals, and in-depth one to one training as you will work alongside the founding Directors.

The Ideal candidate


This role takes a unique blend of professional skills and personal qualities to achieve sustained success, including:


  • Academically bright with an entrepreneurial streak looking to graft, learn and establish a name for themselves in the investment banking search arena.
  • Confidently able to lead conversations with individuals of any level, from graduates to C-Suite
  • Inquisitive and thoughtful, with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Intelligent and analytical, always with an actionable outcome in mind
  • Ability to research for complex projects and present findings in a logical way
  • Confident to make cold calls for headhunting purposes
  • Confident to attend and shadow client meetings
  • Articulate and excellent, professional written communication skills
  • An interest in the finance sector, specifically investment banking
  • Can execute initiative looking for multiple ways to solve problems of own volition
  • Able to work in the city 3 days a week minimum
  • An exceptional recent graduate or someone with up to 2 years experience in a relevant field looking to move to a new role (for example previous recruitment experience or experience in the finance sector)


The role


As an Associate, you are at the forefront of activity and learning skills that will form the basis of a long term career in executive search. The basics will never leave you and set you up for success. The job is multi-faceted covering tasks such as:

  • Running large research projects for prestigious clients in the UK and USA
  • Creating market maps
  • Professional networking
  • Cold calling through lists of individuals identified to headhunt
  • Setting up meetings for senior colleagues
  • Shadowing on meetings and pitches
  • Supporting with pitch decks and proposals

Salary and Earning Potential

This firm works on exceptionally high-value business with long deal cycles due to it’s executive nature. Therefore a discretionary bonus is paid out to all associates based o contribution and attributions to overall revenue. Earning potential is 100% transparent.


  • Base salary starts at £25 - £30k (experience dependent) with extraordinary long-term earning potential.
  • Realistic first year OTE £60,000
  • 2nd Year OTE £80,000
  • 3rd year OTE £100,000 +
