Adult Social Care Lawyer

We are currently working with a Local Authority based in the North-West, who are recruiting for a locum Adult Social Care Lawyer to support their busy team until the end of December.The position is due to start immediately and the hourly rate is circa £50 - £60 p/hour, but is negotiable based PQE and candidate expectations.The role can be conducted predominantly from home, with occasional court attendance in Manchester. Previous Local Government experience will be essential for the role and the successful candidate must be qualified as a Solicitor or CILEX.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Managing a caseload of approximately 10, and advising clients on Adult Social Care matters across the CouncilSupervising 2 solicitors within the teamActing in court of protection mattersPreparing and representing the organisation in court of protection mattersAdvising on all aspects of adult safeguarding lawAdvising on plans and assessments for vulnerable adultsAdvising on the duties of the organisation under the Care ActExperience required:• Strong Adult Social Care experience• Relevant Professional Qualification – Solicitor, Barrister, FCILEXWorking hours:• 37 hours per week• Monday – FridayPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
