Wood CNC Operator

We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machinery to produce precision parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical processes, tooling, and materials handling. The CNC Operator will work closely with engineering and production teams to ensure high-quality output that meets specifications. Duties * Operate CNC SCM machines. * Set Up and Operating the CNC * Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as necessary to maintain quality standards. * Interpret technical drawings and CAD models using SolidWorks to understand part requirements. * Conduct routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation. * Assemble parts as required, ensuring adherence to safety protocols throughout the process. * Collaborate with team members in the warehouse for effective materials handling and inventory management. * Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations. Skills * Proficient in operating CNC machinery, particularly milling machines. * Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read technical drawings and schematics. * Experience with tooling setup and adjustment, including knowledge of various cutting tools. * Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar CAD software for interpreting designs. * Ability to handle materials safely and efficiently within a warehouse environment. * Competence in welding techniques is advantageous but not mandatory. * Understanding of logic controllers is beneficial for machine operation optimisation. * Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting equipment issues.
