Project Manager
Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Project Manager on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire.
The Project Manager will coordinate, organise, and oversee all activities within the project scope of works. This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of project documentation and managing the successful execution of a project.
This position is the first point of contact for any issues or discrepancies arising from within the Project before the problem escalates to higher management within the business.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8:00am – 17:00pm | Fully Office based
Package:
• Annual Salary: £35,000–£40,000 per annum DOE.
• EMIP Bonus: 6%
• Holidays: 25 days per year
• Pension Contribution: 4%
Duties include but not limited to:
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients.
• Be aware of all client and business financial targets and update Directors and Head of departments of financial achievements and movements.
• Become the subject matter expert for lighting hardware and software utilised by the business, including Kinetic Lighting and Madrix.
• Upsell new technologies to clients.
• Prototype and demo new solutions to clients.
• Attend client meetings and visit client sites where needed.
• Provide and implement solutions for improving the business processes and communication methods for successful and efficient project delivery.
• Be proficient in all aspects of project coordination by managing projects from conception through to delivery and overseeing final stages of install.
• Attend installs on first and last day to set up and handover project to client, where required
• Proactively keep clients informed of works, during install and upon completion daily. Give detailed reports i.e. Challenges, snagging detail, why charging for a call out.
• Be commercially aware when planning and purchasing for projects, working closely with Supply Chain.
• Raise sales opportunities on Big Change / Visual with all associated documentation completed from PO to Invoice.
• Monitor and record all project costings, giving an accurate profit and loss.
• Liaise with Supply Chain to monitor delivery schedules and managing delays that may impact project timescales.
• Work seamlessly with the Operations, Engineering and Technical team to ensure the success of all projects and internal & external works.
• Create and maintain project plans and timelines.
• Complete all required documentation for projects, ensuring installation manuals, RAMS and job detail forms are completed and install teams are familiar with the project before going to site.
• Ensure worksheets and audits capture the relevant information.
• Inspire confidence on a technical level, externally and internally.
• Industry specific research and train the wider team.
• Be heavily involved with product development and ensuring adherence to the scope of works and promised deliverables.
• Work with the Stock Control Manager to ensure project stock is managed, moved and stored accurately both physically and on the CRM systems.
Ideal Candidate:
•3-5 Years' experience within Project Management essential.
• Project Management training Prince 1 / 2 training GDPR Working knowledge of ERP & CRM systems such as Big Change/SAP/Microsoft Dynamics AX/Visual/JD Edwards.
• Knowledge and experience with Madrix or similar lighting software is preferable.
• Good at negotiating and can demonstrate the ability to know how.
• Organization and planning skills.
• Project time management Proven focus on internal and external customer satisfaction.
• Ability to work as part of a diverse team.
• Strong MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point, MS Project).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
