Automation Manager

This role offers an exciting opportunity for a hands-on leader to manage a small team and drive automation initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Role: As the Automation Manager, you will take on a key leadership position within the company, focusing on the implementation, optimisation, and maintenance of automated systems. You will be responsible for leading a dedicated team of engineers and technicians, ensuring that automation processes are efficient, reliable, and aligned with strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise a small team of engineers and technicians. Design, implement, and refine automation systems to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and productivity. Manage automation projects from inception through to completion, ensuring they meet timelines and budgetary constraints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and develop innovative solutions. Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing systems, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth operation. Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in automation Ensure all automation activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Candidate Profile: Experience in automation within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics. Proven leadership abilities with experience managing and developing a team. Hands-on experience with automation technologies including PLCs, robotics, and control systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform under pressure. Project management experience with a demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and within budget. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments.
