The Role  Work both in a workshop and site environment Mechanical and electrical fault finding Repair and service of generators Investigate, diagnose and resolve reports of technical problems with equipment Service equipment both on and off site Ability to work independently to troubleshoot and solve problems Complete paperwork and timesheets in a timely manner Ensure compliance with relevant procedures when repairing and inspecting equipment Ensure work/personal equipment complies with all safety standards Present a professional image at all times Take responsibility for health and safety of self, colleagues and customers in line with the Company Health and Safety Policy  The Person Minimum 3 years generator experience and utilities contracts Knowledge of engines, alternators, control panels and wiring diagrams Solid mechanical aptitude Diagnostic and leadership skills able to work in a team or alone Full Driving Licence with ability to tow would be an advantage Ability to service the range of plant-based machinery Have a ‘can do’ attitude and a willingness to undertake ad-hoc duties when required. Level 2 engineer, requirement to be on call.  What we can offer you Competitive hourly rates (depending on experience).
