They are looking for dedicated teaching assistants to make a difference to these students lives by acting as a positive role model as well as providing good academic knowledge to provide support in lessons to ensure the best is achieved from each student. The students will all have a diagnosis of SEMH with associated needs such as ASC, Learning Difficulties etc. and cannot attend mainstream school. The schools range from primary & secondary and all through schoolsRequirements of a SEMH Teaching Assistant Experience with challenging behaviour - this role would really suit someone who has worked in a PRU or SEMH school, has work as a Pastoral Officer in a school, or has experience with challenging behaviour as a Youth Worker. Experience working to support pupils with physically and emotionally challenging behaviour A resilient personality and an ability to build rapport quickly with staff and students.
