Senior Data Scientist

SR2 are currently looking for a Senior Data Scientist for a brand new customer of ours.

As the company’s first Senior Data Scientist, you will take complete ownership of their AI Technology with your ideas listened to and implemented from day one.

Role & Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement algorithms for real-time data processing and analysis.
• Collaborate with the Head of Engineering & CPO to ensure technical and product requirements are understood and executed on.
• Work with Java and/or Kotlin.
• Work with ML models.
• Challenge existing methods to stay at the forefront of how data can be used to innovate.
• Work closely with QA to resolve bugs and minimise any bugs that appear in staging/production releases.
• Apply your expertise in analytics, data science, and the data storytelling to see beyond the numbers and understand how users interact with products and communications and how those insights can inform communication strategy.
• Ensure smooth and regular release of new features including coordination and communication with Customer Support and Marketing.
• Opportunity to progress into a leadership role as the Data Science team expands.
• Introduce new scientific ideas that will benefit the wider business.

Ideal background:

• 5+ years’ experience in the data science field.
• Extensive experience working within a start-up environment.
• Proficient using Java and/or Kotlin.
• Extensive experience with ML models (ideally pose estimation).
• Familiar with building and optimising data pipelines and ETL processes.
• Deep understanding of Time-Series Forecasting.

Location: Central London (hybrid - 2 days onsite)

Salary: £85,000 – 100,000.
