Job Purpose:
The Supply Chain Administrator will support the smooth running of the supply chain by processing customer orders, coordinating shipments, and ensuring compliance with import/export regulations. This role is essential in maintaining customer satisfaction by ensuring deliveries are processed on time and in full.
Main Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Accurately receive and process customer orders, confirming pricing and delivery schedules within 48 hours.
- Shipment Coordination: Plan and coordinate both international and domestic shipments, optimising transport capacity to minimise costs.
- Documentation: Ensure all necessary export and import documentation is processed in an accurate and timely manner, meeting compliance with customs regulations.
- Customer Service: Provide prompt and professional responses to customer queries and issues, ensuring delivery expectations are met.
- Reporting: Maintain up-to-date sales and shipment reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with HMRC and customs requirements.
- Experience: Proven experience in export/import shipping administration, with logistics planning knowledge within a manufacturing or fast-paced environment.
- Customer Service Skills: Strong communication skills and a track record of delivering excellent customer service.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with MRP systems.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve shipment and customs-related issues promptly and effectively.
