Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Chef de Partie to join our esteemed Private Members Club. As a Chef de Partie, you will play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional culinary experience to our discerning members. You will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene at all times.
Experience in from fresh cookery at Chef de Partie level, with ideally a foundation in classical cookery is a key requirement for this position, and you must have been working at a similar level in either a fine dining restaurant or 5* Hotel.
Everything is made from scratch here, from sauces, condiments and whole animal butchery. An incredible job where you can hone your skills and experience cooking at a very high level.
You'll be joining a team of dedicated professionals, preparing and serving up to 50 guests per service, for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner in the most exclusive club in London.
Key Responsibilities: Preparation and Cooking: Take charge of your designated section (e.g., grill, sauces, larder), ensuring that all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and in accordance with the club's menu specifications.
Menu Development: Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef on menu creation and contribute ideas for seasonal dishes and specials.
Executive Chef who is an amazing mentor
Quality Control: Monitor the quality of ingredients, ensuring freshness and proper storage. Maintain consistency in taste and presentation.
Teamwork: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, particularly during busy periods. Provide guidance and support to junior team members.
Hygiene and Safety: Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are strictly adhered to, including maintaining a clean and organized workstation.
Stock Control: Assist with inventory management and stock rotation, ensuring minimal wastage and efficient use of ingredients.
Training and Development: Take an active role in the training and mentoring of commis chefs, ensuring they develop their skills and adhere to the club's culinary standards.
Qualifications and Experience: Previous experience in a Chef de Partie role, preferably within a high-end or private members club setting or high end restaurant
Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Interested to cook everything from scratch
A passion for culinary arts, with a creative flair for presentation and flavor combinations.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
Relevant culinary qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent).
Knowledge of food safety and health regulations (e.g., Food Hygiene Certificate).
