We are now seeking a dedicated SEN TA with a specialism in SEMH to join our team and support our students on this important journey. About the role: Are you a compassionate and patient Teaching Assistant with a passion for making a real difference in children’s lives? Do you have experience or a keen interest in working with students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity waiting for you in a wonderful school in Ealing! As an SEN TA with Specialism in SEMH, you will be a crucial member of our support team, working closely with students across both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. You’ll have the opportunity to work one-on-one with pupils who have SEMH needs, helping them manage their emotions, navigate social situations, and access the curriculum. You’ll play a key role in promoting positive behavior and supporting children’s emotional well-being, helping them to engage fully in their learning. The role will be varied, rewarding, and an incredible opportunity to make a real impact. Application Requirements: • Experience working with children with SEMH needs (preferred but not essential). • A positive, patient, and empathetic attitude. • The ability to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff. • Excellent communication skills. • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Key Responsibilities: • Providing one-on-one or group support to students with SEMH needs. • Assisting teachers in delivering tailored learning activities. • Supporting the emotional and behavioral needs of pupils to ensure their well-being. • Collaborating with teaching staff and the SENCO to implement individualized education plans (IEPs). • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
