Construction Underwriter

The role involves

• Underwriting transactional risks in accordance with the binder parameters laid down by our Insurer partners
• Underwriting functions to include but exclusively quoting new business cases and renewing existing policies primarily on contracting business
• Primarily quoting new and renewal construction and contracting business for all sections of cover such as Public/Products Liability, Employers Liability, Contractors All Risks, Excess of Loss, Material Damage, Director's & Officers, Legal Expenses and Professional Indemnity.
• Working closely with Head of Construction to develop broker and Insurer accounts throughout the UK
• Promoting the companies products to brokers via telephone and broker office meetings
• Ensuring that the company’s processes are correctly followed and that all actions/decisions/communications are correctly noted on the system to ensure clarity of decision process and make these available for audit
• To work within the industries and IIGL standards regarding Treating Customers Fairly and Conduct Risk to ensure that your work is compliant at all times
