We are currently recruiting for a Service Manager for a well established complex care at home provider in the Birmingham area. This is a full time and permanent position with great benefits.
The main aim of the role is the set-up and coordination of services for New Clients. It also involves the ongoing maintenance of services for existing Clients, ensuring ongoing high standards of care and safety are constantly achieved.
Responsibilities of the Service Manager Complex Care Birmingham role
* To organise, facilitate and ensure the delivery of services in your region to people with complex needs and/or learning disabilities and autism living in their own homes
* Operate both flexibly and reliably, whilst fiercely ensuring the companies values around client centred care are never compromised and that all regulatory compliance standards are diligently adhered to.
* The Service Manager has direct responsibility for ensuring the capability and standards of service delivered by these teams.
* To lead & manage person centred support services that enable people to live their chosen life in their own home in the community.
* Working closely with the Head of Department, you will ensure that service provision meets the needs of the people the company support; adheres to regulatory standards and is designed around the preferences of the individual.
* Meeting with Commissioners regarding contract monitoring for the delivery of existing services and planning new services.
* To contribute to the planning and leading of existing and new service developments whilst managing change at a management level.
* Manage each individual service user’s team and be responsible for operational and commercial leadership within the companies community services.
* Adopting a “hands on” approach, you will split your time across your services in the South West and offer direct support to the Head of Department, working closely as a team.
* To continually seek to develop individual and team understanding of learning disability and autism and ensure that this knowledge, positively influences learning disability and autism specific practice in the service.
* You will ensure that your team operate in a safe, professional and creative way, providing a quality service to the people that the company support.
Skills & Experience
* Experience with brain injury, spinal support, and learning disability and autism
* Level 3/4 NVQ and experience of managing large teams with some knowledge of LD/MH & Physical disabilities
