In-House Senior PR Executive (Maternity Cover) - 7-Month FTC – Immediate Start Hybrid – 3 days a week in office - £45k pro rata Are you an experienced PR Agency Account Manager seeking an exciting opportunity to move in-house to make a significant impact in the travel industry? We are partnering exclusively with a distinguished global travel brand to find a talented Senior PR Executive for a 7-month maternity cover contract. This role offers a unique chance to step into a leading in-house travel environment whilst managing agency relationships and coordinating pan-European PR efforts. Position Summary: In this pivotal role, you will implement innovative public relations programmes designed to enhance and maintain the organisation's favourable public image. You will be responsible for directing projects, managing media relations, overseeing PR agency partnerships, and producing high-quality content that resonates with audiences across Europe. This opportunity provides an excellent springboard if you are ready to transition from agency to a strategic in-house environment. This is a happy, friendly working environment and you will need to be in the office 3 days a week – this is in Surrey and parking is provided, as is a shuttle bus from the train station. Key Responsibilities: Media Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to secure impactful media coverage for the travel brand, including pitching and engaging with top-tier journalists. PR Agency Management: Oversee and coordinate multiple PR agency relationships across Europe, ensuring consistent messaging and optimal performance. Pan-European Coordination: Orchestrate PR efforts across various European markets, aligning strategies and adapting campaigns to local nuances. Project Leadership: Manage key communications programmes, including press trips, press conferences, and executive briefings. Content Creation: Draft and approve press releases, talking points, and statements that effectively communicate the brand's message across diverse markets. Crisis Management: Address communications challenges with strategic solutions, ensuring the brand's reputation remains intact across all territories. Performance Tracking: Monitor and analyse media coverage across European markets, providing comprehensive reports that evaluate the success of PR efforts. Essential Skills: Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Strong verbal communication and leadership skills to guide PR agencies and internal teams across various European markets. Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different cultural contexts. Strategic thinking and the ability to see the 'big picture' whilst managing day-to-day operations. Whilst native fluency in English is essential; additional European languages are highly advantageous. This role does not sponsor, so applicants will need full right to work in the UK. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 5-7 years’ experience in PR agency, public relations, journalism, or corporate communications. Proven expertise in media relations, agency management, and pan-European PR coordination. Strong writing, research, and presentation skills. Experience in the travel industry is preferred, but not essential. Ideally, you will be available now or at short notice for this role.
