Maintenance Technician

A? Maintenance Technician is required to work for this fast growing, innovative company based on the outskirts of Stratford upon Avon. The successful Maintenance Technician will ensure maintenance and reliability targets are achieved in a safe and efficient manner and in compliance with company and regulatory standards (Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety) and industry accreditations (BRC and FEMAS). 40 Hours - Day work, Monday - Friday. Pension – employer contribution 8%, employee minimum 2%. 25 days holiday Basic salary £42,000 + OT - average £6k pa + bonus Please note this company does not participate in the UK sponsorship scheme, and candidates will be required to be fully eligible to work in the UK. You will be working in an agricultural environment, with exposure to wheat, grain dust and other allergens. Please note: This role is in a rural location, without access to public transport. Your own transport is required. KEY TASKS: Operational:- * Ensuring all routine PPM tasks are completed on time, safely and to the site food and feed safety standards. * Assisting production with equipment breakdown both during normal day shift and whilst on-call. * Working with the maintenance manager to further develop, optimise and improve site maintenance regime. * Assisting, where required, with the installation of new process equipment and modifications. Personal Responsibilities:- * To comply with all the Health and Safety responsibilities. * To respond efficiently and pro-actively to plant breakdowns. * To ensure that company procedures and methods are adhered to. * To ensure that quality, food and feed safety standards are maintained in accordance with relevant company procedures and documentation is accurately completed, and non-conformities reported. * To ensure workshops and spares warehouse areas are kept clean and tidy. * To work with the rest of the site team highlighting opportunities for operational and business improvements. Reporting:- * To ensure that all completed corrective and preventative maintenance is recorded and kept up-to-date in MAXIMO. * To submit Safety Issue Reports. Required Qualifications and skills:- ESSENTIAL: * Knowledge and understanding of Predictive, Preventive and Corrective maintenance. * Minimum 5 years operational experience working in maintenance in a processing and/or Manufacturing environment. * Electrical or Mechanical Engineering education from City and Guilds, Higher National Certificate level or equivalent and above. DESIRABLE: * Working knowledge of CMMS systems such as SAP or MAXIMO. Personal Attributes:- * Ability to work within a team and on own initiative. * Ability to work to tight timescales. * Ability to perform in challenging industrial environment * Physically healthy and capable of working in a production site environment involving stairs, rung ladders and some high-level work areas. * “Safe by Nature” and demonstrated low/free accident work history. * Must be eligible to work in the UK
