Recruitment Coordinator

£11.50 per hour

20 hours per week

Part-time temp (Monday – Thursday)

4 months temp to fixed contract / perm / or rolling

Remote (with some travel for campus & employer events during peak recruitment campaigns)


Job Summary

Hire STEM Women are looking for an enthusiastic Recruitment Coordinator to join our team. Our Recruitment Coordinators are passionate about customer service, our services, and diversity. They make sure that the Hire STEM Women brand is constantly promoted to a wide clientele. They are always looking at innovative products or services that can benefit our clients whilst delivering a high level of customer service. About Hire STEM Women

Hire STEM Women is a student & experienced hire recruitment platform, that is passionate about helping people secure jobs within science, technology engineering and math fields. We are very much focused on diversity and providing students with support to ensure they have the tools they need to get a role within STEM (science, technology, engineering & maths).

This role provides graduate recruitment support across a range of areas, and the successful applicant will report to the CEO & senior leadership teams + work closely with wider teams. The initial 3 weeks will cover a training period upon starting this role from an experienced recruitment assistant who will introduce you to using our data and our methods of best practice and recruitment skills.


Duties include:

· Work on high profile diversity projects

· Schedule programmes and manage events calendar

· First line contact for queries for students & partners

· Support with creating digital materials and delivering presentations

· Being a brand ambassador for Hire STEM Women

· Manage the Campus Ambassador programme and relationships with universities

· Work with external societies and building university relationships with students

· Manage internship & graduate programmes

· Growing Hire STEM Women’s candidate and employer partnerships

· Participating in coaching activities where required (training will be supplied)

· Using online recruitment tools to develop and grow our platform

· Working with European suppliers and partners on various recruitment initiatives

· Business development

· Focus on early ,mid, senior level careers recruitment and business development

· Ad-hoc administration & involvement in other key projects


Essential skills, experience and qualifications

· Excellent communication skills, such as listening, questioning, written, verbal, are key to a successful coordinator.

· Strong work ethic

· Strong telephone manner

· Strong organisational skills

· Able to work under tight deadlines

· You must be self-disciplined & be able to work independently & proactivity is super important

· Attention to detail

· Hardworking

· Client focused

· Understanding of recruitment & diversity within STEM (3 – 6 months previous experience ideal in recruitment)

· Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel, and Google Drive equivalents (Slides, Sheets).

· Number of hours per week

· Part-time 20 hours per week

· Working pattern and contracted hours (including any shift patterns)

o This role is suitable for remote working.

o Flexible working pattern: We are flexible dependent on the ideal candidate.

Please note there is some travel involved for campus & employer events during peak recruitment campaigns, these can be throughout the UK and some in Europe depending on projects.
