About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant school community, where you'll play a vital role in helping children with diverse learning needs thrive. Your contribution will be essential in ensuring that every child receives the individualized support they need to succeed. Key Responsibilities: As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Provide focused support for students with SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs, including those with ADHD and potential self-harming behaviors, particularly in the mornings. Offer flexible afternoon support across Key Stages 1 and 2, ensuring all students receive the care and assistance they require. Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, helping children build confidence and achieve their potential. Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to implement personalized learning plans and interventions. A solid understanding of SEN, safeguarding, and child protection practices. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Willingness to assist with nappy changing when necessary. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for helping children succeed. Relevant qualifications or training in education, SEN, or child development are a plus. Please Note: A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection is essential for this role.
