Finance Manager, Newbury Maternity Cover We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will take ownership of key finance operations across four key areas:Accounts PayableCollectionsBillingSales Order ProcessingThe Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in improving internal controls and ensuring seamless day-to-day operations that support key stakeholders across the business. You will work closely with the Reporting Manager to provide real-time analytics and insights into the order-to-cash cycle while collaborating with financial and commercial accounting teams to ensure accurate and complete financial transactions.This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of leading a team effectively. You must also be able to speak up, challenge when necessary, and have the drive to continuously improve processes.Key Responsibilities:Manage cashflow, oversee bank reconciliations, and approve invoices.Own and manage the day-to-day finance operations processes.Deliver insightful reporting on the order-to-cash cycle and perform month-end system close and reporting.Act as a system administrator for key finance systems, including Netsuite, Egencia, and Webexpenses.Conduct weekly hardware analysis, focusing on invoicing, goods in, and sales comparisons.Handle inter-company transactions and journals across entities.Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts and audit processes.Manage bank admin, payment approvals, credit card accounts, and payroll cover as needed.Deliver finance inductions, manage starters and leavers, and provide ad-hoc reporting for the Finance Director.Key Qualifications and Skills:Essential:Proven experience managing multiple areas of finance.Clear understanding of Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and the order-to-cash cycle.Strong knowledge of general accounting procedures.Excellent Excel skills (pivots, formulas, large data analytics).Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet deadlines.Excellent communication skills across multiple stakeholder levels.Experience in variance analysis (actual vs. forecast vs. budget).Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.Desirable:Experience with Oracle NetSuite and HubSpot.Experience with finance system transitions.Payroll experience, including timesheet admin, overtime, commissions, and managing starters/leavers.Part qualified accountant or QBE (qualified by experience).If you are a motivated finance professional looking to take the next step in your career, we want to hear from you!
