Purpose of the Role:
To ensure the well-being of young people in our care and provide a positive and safe living environment. To manage and lead Residential Support Workers in delivering high-quality childcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
Manage and mentor Senior Residential Support Workers, providing supervision and training.
Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Support young people in developing their care plans and achieving positive outcomes.
Collaborate with external agencies and stakeholders to provide comprehensive support.
Promote anti-discriminatory and equal opportunity practices. Essential Skills:
Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent
Knowledge of childcare legislation and regulations
Experience working with young people with challenging behaviour
Strong communication, organisational, and administrative skills
Ability to relate to young people with empathy and compassion
Leadership and management skills
