Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant Driffield * AAT early stages CIMA/ACCA Level. * Broad accounting exposure. * Strong Excel skills. * Fast Paced entrepreneurial organisation. About the Company My client, based in Driffield in the heart of East Yorkshire is a fast paced highly entrepreneurial organisation, with an impressive track record of growth in recent years. The need has arisen to recruit a high calibre Assistant Management Accountant to support the Financial Controller in all areas of financial reporting. Responsibilities: * Support the Financial Controller in the preparation of monthly management accounts. * Preparation of several operational reports specifically around stock and margin analysis. * Process supplier invoices and reconcile to supplier statements. * Process month end journals. * Reconcile monthly VAT return. * Balance sheet reconciliations. * Use an online software system for processing employee expenses. * Reconcile credit card statements and transactions. * Ensure regular back up of accounting records. * Assist with the preparation of stocktakes. * Assist with the preparation of year end audit requirements. * Adhoc duties as and when required. Candidate Profile: * AAT or early stages of CIMA/ACCA qualification. * Numeracy and attention to detail are essential. * Good knowledge of Excel, able to build spreadsheet models as needed. * A responsible and professional approach to the role. * Good interpersonal skills and telephone manner essential. * A ‘can do’ attitude and not a barrier to change. * Always looking to improve systems, processes, and procedures and not to ‘stand still
