Area Sales Manager

A field-based territory sales role promoting a leading range of roof tiles and pitched roof building materials into national house builders, regional developers, housing associations and roofing contractors across the West Midlands and North West area. Package: £45k-£55k basic depending on experience, with a +30% bonus scheme, £7k car allowance and an excellent corporate benefits package that includes a share save scheme and pension contributions matched to 10% Territory: Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Birmingham and West Midlands Products: Roof tiles and pitched roof fixings and accessories Customers: National house builders, regional developers, local authorities, housing associations, roofing contractors and building / roofing merchants The Role - Area Sales Manager: * Promoting a leading range of roof tiles and pitched roof building materials * Tracking and winning projects with national house builders, regional developers, local authorities, housing associations and roofing contractors * As well as developing the relationship with a network of merchants that your projects will be back-sold through * You will inherit a portfolio of accounts to account manage, develop and win business from, as well as being expected to prospect and win new business opportunities * You will access to a CRM, lead generation software, and colleagues in other divisions to piggy back and share leads with The Successful Applicant - Area Sales Manager: * You will be a field sales professional with a consultative and structured approach to sales * You will already be working within the construction industry and looking to progress your sales career * You could be coming from building materials and the heavy-side of construction, although my client is happy to recruit from other construction related sectors * Either way you will be equally as comfortable developing existing relationships, as you are identifying and winning new business * Whilst possessing first class presentation and communication skills, and be looking for a career and not just a job Our Client: * A long established and highly respected UK building materials manufacturer * Established for over 100 years, and part of a much larger group * A company that promotes from within and can offer career progression Apply Now!
