Salary: £15,853.48 per annum Grade: C Contract: Fixed term. Maternity Cover. (with the possibility of extra hours in our after school club) Hours: TMP GTA with SEN 27.5 hours, term time only, Location: Alverton Community Primary School, Mount Road, Northallerton DL6 1RB Start date: Required January 2025, for 2 terms until July 2025 Alverton is a happy and inclusive school, near the centre of Northallerton, where children enjoy learning and achieving in the context of a rich, vibrant, broad and balanced curriculum. We strive to use our beautiful grounds as an extension of our classrooms. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic caring and dedicated teaching assistant to join our Targeted Mainstream Provision on a fixed term contract until July 2025. A passion for working with Key Stage 1 and 2 children with communication and interaction needs is essential. The successful candidate will be required to work in partnership with the team. They will also be required to work alongside class teachers throughout the school to provide a broad range of activities to support the children's development and learning. You will be joining a strong and friendly team who are committed to providing an enabling environment where children are at the heart of everything we do. The right candidate will show initiative and be able to contribute to children's individual targets as well as complimenting the strengths of the existing team. A sense of humour would be an advantage! Experience of working with children who have additional needs would be preferred but is not essential. A key feature of the job will be the opportunity to participate in relevant CPD and it is expected that the successful candidate will be driven to engage positively in all training opportunities provided. Visits to the TMP are warmly welcomed on Tuesday 1 st October at 1:15pm or Wednesday 2 nd October at 3:30pm.
