Logistics Assistant - Surrey - up to 35,000 + Benefits - REF 1749
I am currently recruiting for a Logistics Assistant to work for a leading engineering organisation based in Surrey. Salary up to 35,000 + Benefits.
The organisation has been established for over 30 years and are renowned for being the best at what they do within the defence and military sector on a global basis. They are a small yet specialist team employing close to 50 people, but turnover 20 million annually with that figure set to continue moving upwards based on the ever-increasing demand for their products and systems.
To support the business with the current workload and in line with their expansion plans they have the need to appoint a Logistics Assistant on a permanent basis.
In this role as a Logistics Assistant you will be responsible for managing imports and exports. This will include you being involved with shipping and returns. As part of this role you will also be expected to generate the corresponding invoices for the customer and send them on, be that direct or via applicable portals. This role will also act as support to the Warehouse Manager and therefore you will be required to cover them when on leave.
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Logistics Assistant or similar
- At least 1 years commercial experience
- Understanding of imports and exports
Ideal Requirements
- SAP Business one (SAP B1)
- Experience with Exostar
