The Role

As an SEO Copywriter, you will play a key role in driving organic traffic and increasing online visibility through high-quality, optimised content. You will work within a passionate and talented digital marketing team reporting to the SEO manager.

This role requires the successful candidate to have the skill to blend technical SEO knowledge with creative copywriting, making you a critical contributor to the success of our marketing strategy. You will be responsible for producing engaging, relevant, and SEO-friendly content that supports our business objectives and helps educate and engage our audience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging and insightful copy for our target audience to help them with their investing journey, working closely with the brand and content team to maintain and champion our distinct tone of voice.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, keyword gap analysis, and SERP analysis to identify key opportunities.
  • Develop comprehensive SEO content briefs.
  • Strategically integrate relevant keywords to improve search engine rankings while ensuring content remains natural and engaging.
  • Use tools such as GA4, SEMrush, Search Console, Screaming Frog and other SEO platforms to track performance and make data-driven improvements.
  • Optimise copy for website pages, blogs, long-form guides, landing pages, and marketing materials with a focus on SEO best practices.
  • Ensure that all content aligns with SEO strategies and company goals.
  • Conduct competitor analysis and stay up to date on industry trends to refine and improve our SEO content strategy.
  • Stay abreast of algorithm updates to ensure content effectiveness and relevance.
  • Perform content audits and keyword cannibalisation audits to identify and optimise any underperforming content.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the company to understand their needs and ensure all copy is aligned with our brand tone and voice.
  • Work with our internal data team to ensure that we are producing content that our customers find helpful and engaging.
  • Regularly audit and update existing content to maintain SEO standards and improve performance.
  • Edit and upload articles to our CMS system.
  • Liaise with our compliance team to ensure that all copy follows strict industry rules and FCA regulations.

What we’re looking for

We value simplicity, communication, teamwork, trust, and confidence. These core values are what make us tick and keep us all on the same page; not just with how we work individually, but how we engage with each other and the service we offer.

Ideally, you’d have previous experience working in a compliance related role preferably within a financial service regulated business but we are happy to consider candidates from other regulated sectors.

What else we’re looking for:

  • 2+ years’ experience as an SEO Copywriter, preferably within the fintech, financial services, or investment sectors.
  • An in-depth understanding of SEO principles, including keyword research, brief creation, on-page SEO, and SEO content writing.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and engaging copy tailored for different audiences.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools like Google Analytics, Search Console and SEMrush.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • An understanding of investing or financial products is desirable.
  • Knowledge of current digital marketing trends and best practices is a plus.

What we give you in return

  • Salary between £26,000 - £30,000 per annum.
  • 24 days' holiday a year, plus bank holidays (you’ll earn an extra day holiday for each full year you’re with us, up to 28 days).
  • Hybrid/remote working options.
  • Flexible working hours, in line with business needs.
  • Buy and sell up to 5 days of holiday per year.

And we have plenty of perks, too!

Annual bonus between 0-20% of your annual salary, which is linked to company performance.

  • Private medical insurance.
  • Death in service cover (x3 your annual salary).
  • Income protection insurance.
  • Company pension plan.
  • Healthify: a team to support the health and wellbeing of all staff at Wealthify.
  • Ministry of Fun: providing plenty of social activities and events throughout the year.
  • Offices in the picturesque Penarth Marina.
  • Free office gym.
  • Free parking nearby.
  • A collaboration space and games room.

We’re a responsible company, and are constantly working to improve our culture, ethics, impact on the environment, and contribution to charitable causes.
