Data Engineer – Asset Management | Front Office Development | Long-Term Opportunity

Location: City of London (Remote/Hybrid options available)

Our client, a leading asset management firm, is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to play a key role in developing and optimising data solutions for their front-office trading team. This long-term project offers the opportunity to work on an exciting migration to a new cloud-based data platform.

Responsibilities

• Develop data solutions for Order Management, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, and Performance Attribution systems.
• Design and optimize data architectures using SQL Server / T-SQL, C#, ASP.Net, and .Net.
• Support the cloud migration process with exposure to AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement Enterprise Data Management (EDM) principles for data integrity and accessibility.
• Use Azure DevOps, Git, and PowerBI for development, automation, and reporting.

Requirements

• Proven experience in asset management and front-office development.
• Proficiency in SQL, C#, ASP.Net, and .Net frameworks.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Git, and PowerBI.
• Strong understanding of EDM concepts specific to the asset management industry.
