Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) - Supply Role in Barnsley Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) looking for flexible and rewarding opportunities? About the Role: As a Supply SEN Teaching Assistant, you'll have the opportunity to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other complex needs. You'll work across a variety of primary, secondary, and specialist SEN schools in Barnsley, helping students to thrive in their learning environments. This is a perfect role if you're looking for flexibility, whether you want to work part-time or full-time. Key Responsibilities: Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils with special educational needs Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet individual needs Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to deliver tailored learning experiences Help manage classroom behaviour and provide emotional support Encourage pupil independence and boost confidence in the classroom Requirements: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in a school setting A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is preferred but not essential A passion for supporting children with additional needs Excellent communication and organisational skills Flexibility to work in different settings and adapt to varied student needs A valid DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one) Why Choose Supply Work?
